While everyone is setting their eyes on Duchess Kate’s Alexander McQueen-designed wedding dress at Buckingham Palace’s annual summer exhibition, it’s the couple’s wedding cake that is also getting particular attention.
The royal wedding cake, weighing in at over 150lbs and covered in cream and white icing and decorated with up to 900 sugar-paste flowers, has been on display as well in the exhibition.
According to Fiona Cairns, who designed the cake, she says, “As is tradition, the Duke and Duchess have kept the top two tiers for their first child’s christening. The third tier was cut up and served at the wedding together with the extra fruit cake supplied.”
Could this mean that William and Kate are already thinking about their first child already?
While the newlyweds have kept mum about their family plans, the incredibly thin Kate has said that the only plans she has in the near future is to be a housewife, but could motherhood be on her mind as well?
A future royal christening would be just as exciting as the couple’s spectacular wedding last April.
We, as well as the rest of the world, will be on bump watch.
It’s time to break out the Royal Baby Photos: Prince William!
