Back in April, Katherine Heigl and her husband celebrated the addition of another child in their family. Along with their 3-year-old Naleigh — whom they adopted from South Korea when she was 9-months-old — they became parents of 2 when they adopted Adalaide Marie Hope just shortly after her birth.
Katherine chatted with Celebrity Babies earlier this week to talk about life as a second time mom, how their daughter is adapting to big-sisterhood.
Chatting with PEOPLE Katherine admits, “I had never had a newborn before. I didn’t really have that experience. So it’s all been new.” She also mentioned that big sister Naleigh has taken well to her role and is settling into the new routine well. She admits that she seemed hesitant at first, but has since become her protector.
She spoke pretty candidly about her experience with having two young children. I love how open she speaks about the chaos because it’s not often you hear a celebrity share real truths that we all go through.
“I think it’s far more chaotic than I anticipated,” she says. “And I think every parent probably says that and every parent tries to warn new parents about it. And we all go, Pish posh, it’s going to be fine. What’s one more?’”
