Four Fast Tips for Mom’s to Get Out the Door Looking Good….
Easy, 2-Step Updo. What to do…. Air dry your hair. I liked this one immediately, considering I haven’t seen my blow dryer since the birth of my second child. First, once the hair is dry pull it back into a pony, whatever height you prefer. Next, take a section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic. Using a bobby pin, pin the end of the section of hair you used to wrap the elastic, under the pony itself. Wahlah!
Easy 2-Step Smokey Eye. This tip can be used day and night, depending on how much liner you apply. What to do… First, using a black pencil liner, line the rim of the eye all the way around (upper & lower). Say as close to the lash line as possible. The objective here is to fill in the spaces between your lashes, creating the illusion of a thicker lash line. Next, use a charcoal colored shadow and a thin shadow brush to blend in the liner, all the way around the rim.
Note: Using a lighter shadow for blending makes this more of a day time look, a darker shadow for blending revs up the drama for night time.
Easy 2-Step Red Lips. What to do… All that is needed here that might not already be in your makeup bag is lip stain, which can be found at any drug store or beauty counter. The stain should be the same or similar color to the color of your lipstick. What to do…. First, apply the lip stain, then wait a few seconds. Next, apply your lipstick on top. The stain holds the stick in place, making it last longer and so you don’t end up wearing it on your teeth!
Easy 2-Step Lashes. This one is the easiest of all! It’s just 2 coats of mascara, that’s all! No more, no less. And 2 coats meaning 1 for each side of the upper lashes. This was news to me, I only ever coat (sometimes clump) the underside of my upper lashes! They recommended starting with coating the underside of the upper lash first. No need to re-dip the wand, then looking down, start at the base of the top side of the lash, and pull through the excess mascara.
So there you have it, 15 minutes top, and I’m sure after a little practice you will be finished in 5 10! Now go beautify… Tweet me & let me know how it works out!
