Kendra Wilkinson looks amazing after Dancing With The Stars

Whenever I see a celebrity mom on the cover of a magazine or on TV looking gorgeous and carrying on a great career after having a baby, I always have two questions I’d love to ask them.

The first question is, “What was your secret to getting such a fabulous post-baby body?”, and the second is, “How do you manage to balance your career with being a mom?”

In a new interview with Parade.com, Kendra Wilkinson answered both of those questions, and even gave some advice for regular moms out there like me!

Let’s cut to the chase and talk about Kendra’s amazing post-baby figure. She looked great to begin with, but being on Dancing With The Stars really whipped Kendra back into top shape. Of her dancing on the show she says, “My body is so great now. The different dances did different things, like the Latin dances would shape my thighs and my calves and my butt because of all the twisting. And it would make you sweat, that’s the real calorie burner right there. But the Viennese waltz and the tango, it’s all in the legs, you’re doing a full squat for two minutes. It’s more intense than anybody would think. My body’s back into shape and I’m so happy.”

I think it’s important to note that Kendra wasn’t one of those moms who came home from the hospital in her skinny jeans. She had to work hard to shed her baby weight and was never shy about her struggle with it. I really admired the fact that Kendra didn’t pretend to be one of those celebs who bounced right back to her pre-baby body just a few weeks after giving birth. Her hard work sure paid off!

When it comes to balancing motherhood and her busy career, Kendra says, “My number one piece of advice to all moms is to just breathe. Take time for yourself, even if it’s just going to the bathroom and taking a couple breathers! Take at least five minutes out of the day for yourself, you need it, you deserve it. And of course, always keep your kids in your heart and your day will just become so much better.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself! On that note, I think I’ll go take a short break from working today.
