The Khloe and Lamar season premiere kicked off on E! last night, and while viewers got an inside look at Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s relationship, we also got a peek at Lamar’s relationship with his dad.

And let’s just say it’s not great…

Watch the Khloe & Lamar video clip to see Lamar Odom’s dad asking for handouts. During the episode, viewers learn that Lamar’s dad wasn’t there for him as a kid – and now father Joe Odom is asking his famous son for money, groceries and Lakers tickets.

In the reality show mix is news that Khloe and Lamar are trying to get pregnant and we just know that Lamar Odom will be a much better dad than his father has been to him.

No doubt when Lamar is a daddy himself, he’ll use this life lesson to nuture his own child. Lamar is so excited to have a baby with Khloe and you can guess that he’s going to be a doting dad, making up for the hole in his life that his own father left.

During the Khloe & Lamar season premiere, Lamar Odom talks about his father, Joe,  saying, “My father’s a heroin addict. I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn’t around. I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn’t supposed to see”.

“I’m not asking him to be a father,” he tells his best friend. “I’m just asking him to act like you are my father.”

Do you think Lamar Odom will be a great daddy when baby Kardashian/Odom comes along?
