Kristen Stewart Played Huge Role in Rob Pattinson Getting Cast in 'Twilight'

Kristen Stewart played a big role in choosing Robert Pattinson for the role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga film series.

Stewart’s opinion made the difference in Rob Pattinson getting the role as Bella Swan’s vampire love interest in Twilight. Catherine Hardwicke spilled the details to Access Hollywood.  The director of Twilight dished to the celebrity talk show about KStew’s decision. The director told Access Hollywood:

“I want my leading ladies to be involved in that because they’re the people that are actually going to be there and you want those real sparks and you want that real chemistry on some level, instead of having to fake it, or create it, or edit it around it.”

After the final four candidates for the Edward Cullen role did scenes with Kristen Stewart,  Kristen knew Rob was her leading man. According to Catherine Hardwicke:

“I brought the four guys that I thought were the best and she had to make out with them or do four different scenes with them and at the end of those two days she said, ‘It’s gotta be Rob.'”
