Reporter Lara Logan was brutally attacked and sexually assaulted by an angry mob on February 11th while covering covering the celebrations in Tahrir Square following the resignation of then Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Before this past Sunday night, she had never publicly talked about the assault or what exactly happened. But she finally broke her silence on 60 Minutes when she sat down with CBS’ Scott Pelley to discuss the events of that day.
Lara says that thoughts of her children were what kept her alive throughout the horrific ordeal – she had to survive for them. Lara has a one year-old daughter and a two year-old son.
