If your kids are big fans of college football then it’s likely they have a new hero. Larry Dean racked up eight tackles recently during the Valdosta State University Blazers’ football game versus Arkansas Tech.
Larry’s aggressive playing paved the way for the teams 21-7 victory and broke a record for the number of stops. His full career number of stops is 347, breaking the VSU record held by Jessie Tuggle.
It means a lot,” Dean said. “It’s been a lot of sweat and a lot of work throughout the years to get to it, and be in this position to have the opportunity to do it. I just want to give thanks to everybody, especially Coach C (Joe Cauthen) for putting me in position, along with God and athletic ability and teammates.”
With more games this season, we’ll see how Larry continues to play. We wish him good luck and congrats!
