Once actor Larry Wilcox was on the right side of the law. He is best known for his role as Jon Baker on “ChiPs” along side Erik Estrada‘s Ponch. They would hit the highways bustin’ the bad guys. But Larry Wilcox went for a big role reversal when he, himself, became a criminal.
He was looking at perhaps spending the next three years in prison, but he won the no-lock up lottery and just got a “slap on the wrist.”
What was his crime and how did he avoid going to prison?
On Friday, Larry Wilcox pled guilty to securities fraud, his scam was engaging in a kickback game where he’s profit from pension funds. There was a FBI sting on the illegal activity and that’s when Wilcox got busted.
Instead of serving a prison term, Wilcox will just have three years of probation and has to complete 500 hours of community service. Yeah, much better than three years in the slammer!
