LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Married!

Following two years of controversy, LeAnn Rimes finally tied the knot with Eddie Cibrian.  The couple reportedly were married in a small private ceremony on Friday night in Malibu.

The couple have weathered a flurry of storms throughout their relationship.  Eddie and LeAnn met in 2008 while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights and sparks flew almost immediately. The only catch was that the two were already married to other people — Cibrian to Brandi Glanville with who he has two sons Mason, 7, and Jake, 4; Rimes to Dean Sheremet.   Both couples ultimately divorced.   Over the past two years, Rimes and Glanville have feuded over Twitter over the parenting of Cibrian’s children.

The couple seems to have tried to put the drama behind them with the wedding ceremony.  Instead of creating a media flurry, the opted for a surprise wedding in front of approximately 40 guests which included his sons.  Everyone arrived expecting an engagement party and only heard that the couple were in fact exchanging vows after they arrived.

The one thing that has been apparent throughout their very public relationship is that LeAnn truly cares about Eddie’s sons.  She has taken every opportunity to gush about the boys and her role in their lives on Twitter (sometimes to the dismay of their mother Brandi Glanville!)   It seems that all parties have finally decided to put the drama on the back burner for the benefit of the kids.  As long as they keep their disagreements offline and out of the press, the kids will only benefit from having more people in their lives looking out for them and loving them!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a pregnancy announcement coming sometime this year for LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian.
