Leonardo DiCaprio Reacts To Death Of Titanic Co-Star Gloria Stuart
Titanic Stars Leondardo DiCaprio And Kate Winslet
Actress and mother Gloria Stuart passed away yesterday at the age of 100, and now her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio is remembering her as “An amazingly sweet person, a fantastic actress, and someone who always fought for what she believed in.”
Stuart played the role of the older Rose in the film, and Leonardo was Jack Dawson, Rose’s love interest when she made the fateful voyage across the North Atlantic on the Titanic. Kate Winslet played the younger version of Rose.
In speaking of Stuart, DiCaprio also added, “She was one of the last great actresses from the Golden era of Hollywood. I was honored to have worked along side her. She will be missed.”
Gloria Stuart died in her sleep at her home in California. She leaves behind her daughter Sylvia, four grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
