Yes, life got a whole lot sweeter for Honey Boo Boo and her family. The popular and beloved reality show family, right after the second episode aired, reportedly got a REALLY big raise. TLC realized that they the show was ratings and pop culture gold and they more than doubled their pay. Sources are claimed that originally the family had been getting between $5,000 and $7,000 per episode and then jumped to a whopping…
$15,000 and $20,000 an episode! And supposedly, this was not something the family asked for, TLC just opted to do it on their own. TLC also wanted to cover such things as a driver for Sugar Bear (who was injured in an ATV accident) and they also offered to secure a bigger home for the family. But June? She wouldn’t have it, apparently because she really likes to decorate her house for Christmas for all to see and has strong ties to her neighborhood and community.
But the coolest thing? June doesn’t want all this money and fame to change her family. As TMZ reports, “she says she doesn’t want to make money the sole object of the show and she’s worried if she signs with an agent that person will talk her into making various appearances that will take her away from her family.”
Now, that is sweet.
