Lindsay Lohan’s jail release was announced tonight, via TMZ.com. That sure was fast!
Lindsay Lohan’s attorney appealed the original decision for Lohan to go to jail for the next month and there you have it – a judge has overturned Judge Elden Fox’s ruling, determining that Lindsay Lohan can be released on $300,000 bail.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg made the decision Friday evening to release Lohan from jail on bail. She will have to get a SCRAM bracelet in the next 24 hours.
Lindsay Lohan will not be allowed around any known drug users, can be searched by law enforcement at any time and cannot be in places where alcohol is the “chief item of sale.”
Lindsay Lohan’s next hearing is set for October 22.
Is Lindsay Lohan’s release from jail fair? Did she get released because she’s a celebrity?
Well… no. Lohan’s attorney filed an appeal because she was unlawfully denied bail. Under California law, defendants have the right to bail in misdemeanor cases.
What kind of message is this sending? And will Lindsay ever get herself turned around when she always gets the easy way out?
If you recall, Lohan was released from her jail sentence and her rehab program early last time. And then she went and failed her court-ordered drug test.
Obviously, this girl needs help.
