Lisa Rinna Won't Let Her Daughters Look At Magazine Covers

By Josh Loposer |

lisa-rinna-familyHow do you keep your children from having body image issues? It’s a problem for all parents these days — especially for Lisa Rinna, who deals with the problem by ripping the covers off of magazines before she brings them home.

Obviously, Lisa’s in a pretty strange predicament when it comes to body image issues, since it’s a clear case of the old ‘do as I say, not as I do’ for the very surgically-enhanced soap star.

Rinna recently had this to say about Heidi Montag’s People Magazine cover (the one in which she admits to having 10 plastic surgery procedures in 1 day):

“I will tell you, I had to take that cover off the magazine before it came in the house… We have two girls. I don’t think it is something you want to bring in the house and say, ‘Oh, look.’

I take a lot of the covers off of magazines if they are not appropriate. Obviously, we are raising two young girls. Anything that has to do with weight issues, I think you just have to be really careful.”

Obviously, many are calling Lisa a hypocrite for slamming Montag’s extensive cosmetic procedures. The pot goes on to call the kettle black here, saying:

“Well, you know, that magazine has changed so much. I was actually on the cover a few times [in the '80s]. In those days, they had stories about people who hadn’t had their faces cut open. They had stories about things that were really going on. I don’t know. I mean, plastic surgery?”

What do you think, was Lisa trying to be funny? Or was she serious?
