She might be the Queen of Pop, but when it comes to handling single motherhood, Madonna is just like the rest of us. The “Girls Gone Wild” singer recently admitted that raising her four children on her own is no walk in the park and that the ordeal is making her “head explode.”
The 53-year-old chart topper tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “I’m not going to lie — it’s hard work having four kids and doing all the work I do.”
“Sometimes I cope with it very well,” the Material Girl said. “Sometimes it’s a struggle,” she added.
She also adds that her upcoming album, MDNA is about her life as a single mom (who would have thought!) “It’s about the life of a single mother,” Madonna explained. “It’s a challenge juggling everything — multi-tasking is my middle name. I try to express that.”
Madonna, who divorced director Guy Ritchie in 2008, has four children: Lourdes, 15, Rocco, 12, David, 6, and Mercy, 5.
