Manny Pacquaio's Mom Can't Take the Pressure - Will Promise to Mom Get Boxer to Retire?Emma Brady
Boxing can’t be much fun for the mothers who have to sit by and watch their sons get smacked around the ring. Even if it’s their son doing most of the punching, it can cause even the toughest of mothers crumble in fear.
On Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia Pacquiao caved into the pressure and suffered an anxiety attack during her son’s much hyped bout against Antonio Mararito at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. This was Dionisia’s second time sitting ringside and the second time that the nervous mom suffered an anxiety attack. The worrisome mom agreed to sit ringside after Manny Pacquiao assured his mom that it would be his last fight.
Manny Pacquiao’s trainer says that Dionisia is doing fine today after spending some time at the hospital to calm her nerves. “She’s fine. She’s fine, just a little fatigued and a little stressed out, but she is in the hospital,” said Roach. “But all reports are that she’s fine. This is her second time at ringside, and this is her second time in the hospital.”
Pacquiao is the only boxer in history to win ten world titles in eight different weight divisions.
