Most newborns make their portrait debuts at the Picture People, but when it comes to celebrity kids theirs are made in newsstands around the world. What better way to say hello to the world than through a picture editorial in People magazine, right?
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe are well over two months-old now, yet their fans still haven’t seen any exclusive photos of the newborn babies, which seems unlike typical Mariah fashion. The couple posed multiple times for gossip mags with her nude nine-month belly on full display (oh, Mariah!) along with endless details about their future plans, so why haven’t we seen any pictures post-pregnancy yet?
Simply put, what’s the hold up?
Mariah and Nick seem like a pretty open couple (with their fans, that is), so our only guess is that the new parents are holding out for a bigger paycheck for their tots’ first exclusive pics.
The couple has said that they are interested in protecting their children’s privacy, but after seeing the nude pregnant pics of the couple back in April, we just don’t buy that. That just seems unlike the Mariah we know.
We’ve all heard about the million-dollar payouts couples such as the one Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt received for pics of their kids, so we can only assume that Mariah and Nick are waving their finger no to propositions less than six figures.
Reports have surfaced that the couple has been offered a $200,000 deal for exclusive photo rights, but according to Mariah, that amount barely covers baby Monroe’s future stiletto heel collection college plan.
Mariah and Nick might want to hurry up though, as we’ve heard before, the older the baby, the less amount of money. And no future diva named after a famous pin-up icon would be happy with that.
The world is waiting to see what filled Mariah’s Cool Celeb Baby Nursery!
