Picking out a name for your child is a big decision. Finding a name for your child that has meaning, sounds good and that both partners can agree on can be quite the challenge. And when some people – especially those in the limelight – choose the names for their babies that are – let’s say – unique, well you have to wonder why.
Case in point? Moroccan Cannon – the name of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s son.
The two welcomed twins this week. For the girl, they named her Monroe. The boy? Moroccan. Yes Moroccan. As in person who is from Morocco. And the baby’s last name? Cannon. As in the old school military weapon. So their son is – not literally thank goodness – a Moroccan Cannon. Most when picking out names try not to put an adjective or a verb next to a noun. Like Black Smith, Barry Fields or Rob Banks. But Mariah and Nick? They went there.

Yes, the whole idea of a name being an adjective really bothers me. I’m sure that there are other, less silly and even fine examples (hey, “Sunny” is one!), but this is TERRible!
