Mariah Carey as X Factor judge?

Being a new mom is hard enough… but what about Mariah Carey? A new mom to twins, plus a new job as judge on The X Factor?

How will Mariah Carey juggle motherhood and Simon Cowell’s X Factor?

One can only assume that Mariah Carey will have a lot of help!

Here’s how the timing of everything unfolds… Mariah Carey’s due date is next month and The X Factor premieres in September, so Carey has some months ahead of her in full mommy mode. But there will also be meetings and rehearsals to prepare for X Factor that will pull her away from the babies too.

Once the production of X Factor begins, Carey will be tied up with the series. It’s unclear at this point what kind of time commitment she has for the series, but it definitely removes her from the role of full time mom.

Plus Nick Cannon always has a project in the works – he’s got a radio show, hosts America’s Got Talent, and has a role at Nickelodeon.

Where’s that leave the twins?

Mariah Carey has yet to reveal how much help she’ll get, but we’re guessing there will be a full roster of nannies to support the busy couple.

What will Carey’s role be on X-Factor? Cowell explains,”Her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with. She’ll be involved in some form. I literally adore her. I love her to bits.”

Cowell further explained that her role may be more limited, so perhaps she won’t be too far from the twins, after all: “I think Mariah will have a role on the live shows. I met her recently and she was on great form,” Cowell told Spokane, Washington disc jockey Jackie Brown on Friday.

Even with a more limited role, do you think Mariah Carey should take the X Factor judge gig and have to be away from her twins?
