Marie Osmond Talks About Her Son's Death On Oprah

Marie Osmond took to Oprah’s couch today to open her heart and discuss the death of her son Michael Blosil who took his own life.

She describes him as “so fun. And cute. And darling. It wasn’t until my son started using drugs that I saw him change.”

Michael had attempted suicide once before but failed and entered rehab. When she saw him a month before his death she said he “never been happier.”

No drugs were found in Michael’s system at the time of his death. While many suspected he may have jumped from a building because he was gay, Marie stated that it was not true.

“My son was not gay,” she said. “He wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world. And it wouldn’t matter if he was — I have a daughter who is gay, and it was my daughter who was offended” meaning by the implication that all gay people commit suicide.
