Mariska Hargitay Leaving 'Law & Order: SVU', Is a TV Series Too Much for Mom of Two?Michelle Lamar
Is Mariska Hargitay REALLY leaving Law & Order: SVU? Mariska and her husband just adopted a baby girl, and the couple already had a four-year-old son, so it makes sense that she is rethinking her career!
All moms know that balancing two kids is more difficult than juggling just one child. I can’t say that I blame Hargitay if she is considering leaving Law & Order: SVU! Filming a TV series is grueling work, especially if you have children.
Shooting a TV series means long hours. It is not usual to have 18 hour days but some long running TV shows have gotten their timing down to a “short” 12-14 hour workday.
Of course, Mariska makes $395,000 per episode of Law & Order: SVU. So THAT can make up for some of the long hours but it’s hard to miss time away from little kiddos.
Keep in mind that the source of this story is The National Enquirer. The tabloid published a story yesterday reporting that Mariska is ready to quit Law & Order: SVU so she can stay home full-time with her kids.
