Matthew McConaughey finally made an honest woman of Camila Alves. As anticipated, the two got married on June 9th in McConaughey home state of Texas. The nuptials took place in Austin and was – reportedly – an outdoor nature scene.
What else went down at the McConaughey and Alves wedding:
According to Perez Hilton the wedding which was supposed to be a tiny affair of just over twenty people the guest list was more over a hundred people. On the property there were apparently “state of the art tents with built-in air conditioning units,” for guests to stay in after the wedding. As for where exactly the nuptials took place, apparently McConaughey was hanging out in a hammock under a big shady tree, and it’s been guessed that would be the location of the ceremony. And odd are that McConaughey and Alves oldest – son Levi – would have some kind of role in the wedding.
But beyond the big party, their marriage doesn’t really change things. “We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids, we’ve built a life together. So, we’ve been living a married life this whole time,” Alves told ET Canada. “I think it’s great for the kids… Levi actually understands what it means now that Mama’s going to have the same last name as they have.”
