Well, it looks like Mel Gibson’s star has fallen so far that he’s now resorting to filming a movie cameo in The Hangover 2 in hopes of regaining some of his former glory.
According to PageSix, Gibson will be filming a cameo in ‘The Hangover 2′, playing a tattoo artist. A source told the website that;
“It’s a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist. Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October.”
The sequel will follow the original cast members on a trip to Bangkok as they take a boy`s trip. The question is, will a cameo in The Hangover 2′ do as much to rehabilitate Mel`s image as it did for Mike Tyson? It’s no secret that Mel Gibson might have permanently damaged his reputation as well as his box office appeal after his racial and religious slurs and the release of his current screaming/abusive voice mail rants to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Do you think that it would be best for Mel to mock his current legal problems in the cameo, or should he strictly play a character? Mike Tyson did so well because he basically played an exaggerated version of himself, but is it too early for Mel to do the same? What do you think? Do you think it’s a good idea for Mel to appear in The Hangover 2?
