The custody battle between ex-partners Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels regarding twins Johnnie Rose and Miller is still going strong, and new information is constantly being revealed. New court papers, Etheridge insists she spends as much time with her kids as possible between her summer tour dates–and during one such mother-children visit in Boston, she was served with court papers from Michaels.
The 49-year-old singer said in the recent court papers that Michaels “used our children as pawns,” implying her ex used the children as bait to get Etheridge in a place where she could be served.
Michaels, a former actress, who is now a housewife revealed her lack of income and finances to demonstrate she needs Etheridge’s financial support, and estimated that Etheridge makes between $600,000 and $750,000 each month. Of that sum, Michaels is seeking $4,300 per month for childcare to free up her time for working herself. Etheridge fought back, though, claiming she provides Michaels $2,000 a month and pays all the household bills.
Who will come out on top in this bitter battle? And how will it affect the kids?
