Today show host Meredith Viera was among the crowd of runners that crossed the finish line for the New York City Marathon over the weekend. The host ended up with a medal for completing the race and a big blister on her toe.
The mom-of-three had teamed up with Today show weatherman Al Roker to train for the raise and the duo took off together from the start. She did however pull ahead during the race and crossed the finish line with a time of 5 hours 59 minutes.
For their efforts both Viera and Roker received an on air round of applause on today’s episode of the Today show. They were later pampered with complementary foot rubs, roses and champagne .
