Michelle Duggar, Pregnant With # 19, Wants MORE Babies

By Sassy Smith |

I mentioned yesterday, that my uterus was frightened, and now it’s more so.  Michelle Duggar, who is mom to eighteen children and pregnant with # 19, says she wants more.  MORE.

TLC’s 18 Kids & Counting reality TV couple, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, are due with baby number nineteen in March 2010, and you would think they’d be done.  For realz.  But no, no they are most likely not.

Michelle said, “We would love more.  We’re just so thrilled that God blessed us with another one.  So, if he gives us more, we will gladly receive the gift.”

She added, “We are thrilled.  I feel sick and tired a lot right now.”  Michelle and Jim Bob are also going to be first-time grandparents – their oldest child, Josh, and his wife Anna, are expecting a baby.  And their grandchild will actually be older than their baby-on-the-way.

Michelle admitted, “I am just amazed.  Being 42, I was wondering if I could have another.  That season of change is happening a bit, so I figured I would just enjoy hugging and loving on my grandbabies.”

Can you even imagine?  Nineteen children?  I try not to be judgy, but seriously, it’s not normal to want that many kids, is it?  Michelle Duggar’s uterus and vagina, most likely hate her.  I’m just sayin’.

Anyway, hope all goes well.

If you’d like to help the Duggar family name their new baby (because really, what J-names could possibly be left?), you can go to  The family is “open to suggestions on J-names.  People can go on our Web site and e-mail us at with name suggestions,” said Michelle.

  1. [...] Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar make time for each other, which isn’t really that big of a surprise considering they are pregnant with their 19th child. [...]

Comments My third son is named Jerrin. I thought I created the name but one month before his due date I happened to be reading a parenting magazine and in the article the author had a son named Jarron. I didn’t care for using an “a” so I chose to use an “e” with and “i” in place of the “o”. My second son is named Devin and it can be spelled with and “i” or “o”. This is how I planned out his name. Then also one night I happened across a professional bull rider wiht the name Jaron Nunamaker(not exactly sure of last name spelling). That suprissed me! As I said my son is Jerrin David. One “r” would have shortened the name but I didn’t think of that!! Blessings to you and your family. I really enjoy having something to put on that inspires me in my day. We have four children and we wish we would have had more. I always wanted a big family. Maybe not 19 but I miss having little ones around. We were a close family and did everything togetger. My husband almost died when our daughter was 15 months old and that scared me. Our daughter has Down Syndrome and she is truely a gift from God!! Her name is Kira and she is the best daughter that God could have blessed us with. I would have had baby number 5 wihtout hesitation even though my husband has had alot of health problems if I would have known the baby would have had Down Syndrome. My daughter is 16 now and just the best part of every day for everyone in our family!!! I have 3 sons and only 1 girl and I wish I had more expecially girls since we only had one. No it has nothing to do with her having DS that I would have liked more girls its just that I enjoyed multiple sons and raising boys and girls are different experinces. Anyone could spend a few hours with our daughter and understand the blessing that she is. When she was born I said a prayer and told God I trusted him and I would keep my mind and heart open to where he wanted us to go with this journey of her life. You have a choice to make in any situation and that is you can waste time taking the low road of pitty or the high road of optimism. We have chosen the high road. My husband always said he regrets being scared. Not scared of her but providing for her and giving her all she may need. He said it was such a waste of time! She has provide more to our family than we could ever return to her. Life is good. Now I just have to wait for grandchildren to get to share in more kids. Our best to your family and take care, Diane

Dear Duggers, I enjoy your show. I appreciate how you are raising your children. I read that you all want another child. Because of Michells time she had with the last on one I am afraid that you and the nex one might not make it. Do you have planns at who will help raise your children if something goes wrong next time and Michelle isn’t around to raise the children that God has given you so far.
