Michelle Obama Opens Up About Her Biggest Fashion Regret

According to Michelle Obama, she is her worst fashion critic. The first lady of the United States opens up about her biggest fashion regret that just so happened to be the “biggest stink” for her as well.

During an interview with BET’s 106 and Park, Michelle Obama says that the white tank top, sneakers and casual shorts she wore during a 2009 trip to Arizona is one faux pas she’d like to forget about. She said: “It was because people were like, ‘she’s wearing shorts getting off of Air Force One.’ Sometimes I forget I’m the first lady and I’m running around in shorts.”

While the First Lady does have her critics, I will say that she has been one of the most stylish women we’ve seen in the White House in decades. Sure, wearing a cardigan to meet the Queen of England might not have been a good choice, but I simply love how she experiments with different looks, colors, and patterns and still manages to look elegant and classy. And plus, only real fashionistas manage to ruffle feathers and dresses and still get away with it, right? Whether you love it or hate it, the woman IS making history with her fashion choices. From an Isabel Toledo or Jason Wu dress to a pair of shorts she got on clearance at her local Target store, her style speaks for itself.

Check out our photos below of some of Michelle Obama’s best looks from the past few years and let us know what you think! Are you a fan of her wardrobe or do you think she might have missed the mark a few times here?
