Miley Cyrus: I Didn't Miss Out On A Normal Childhood (Video)Mara Siegler
Being a star since the time you were out of the womb has got to be hard on the psyche. Everyone is constantly watching you and criticizing you. You can’t enjoy the normal mess ups of childhood without the glare of photographers let alone normal activities like prom. It’s no wonder most of them go psycho. And it’s almost a self-perpetuating cycle when it comes to media-Concern is raised about a star to the point that it actually drives them crazy. Just look at Britney Spears.
Miley Cyrus, with her new Can’t Be Tamed high boot, little amount of clothing persona has been raising the red flag of heading down the path blazed by Brit. Britney’s path towards destruction all started with panty-less photo flashes and Miley is embroiled in her own Perez Hilton upskirt scandal. But Miley is going on the offensive.
“I’ve gone through awesome things and I’ve gotten to perform and do what I love,”Miley said on David Letterman last night. “I don’t think I’ve missed out on anything, but it’s hard with the comments and growing up. You can YouTube me, because half the comments are like, ‘She sounds like crap!’ I’m like, ‘At least I’m singing live, so take that!'”
Miley doesn’t use Twitter or let photogs know where she is going. To celebs who do that she says: “You can’t complain, Oh, I don’t have a private life and I’m so upset paparazzi are gonna follow me if you’re gonna tell them where you’re going. Paparazzi are gonna find you when you say I’m at McDonald’s.”
