Miley Cyrus the Worst Celebrity Influence?

Miley Cyrus Voted Worst Celebrity Influence

Is Miley Cyrus the worst celebrity influence out there? Yeah… well, I wouldn’t say she’s exactly the poster child for model behavior.

AOL’s JSYK.com (Just So You Know) voters weighed in and voted Miley Cyrus the top spot for the second year in a row – taking 58% of the 99,000 votes.

And why shouldn’t Miley Cyrus hold this title? Pole dancing, skimpy clothes, and her bong smoking incident in 2010 were all contributing factors.

This time, Miley Cyrus beat out Lindsay Lohan, Teen Mom Amber Portwood and Demi Lovato.

Keep in mind, the JSYK website’s target audience is 9-15 year olds.

Do you think Miley Cyrus is the worst celebrity influence?

Less than 100k people (suppose to have been kids, but there is no proof of that) voted on this, and a little over half of those vote for her. Come on, there are millions of kids out their and she has millions of fans. JSYK is part of AOL and no one I know of except old people use AOL. No kids I know of voted or were even aware of this poll. So Why is it such a big thing. I could go out and find all the Miley haters out there and poll them and would get the same result, granted it would be biased but who would know.

My concern is why is a Web site that is suppose to be for kids, promoting the bashing of another person. They should stick to poll for who the kids think is the best celebrity influence instead. Any celebrity who didn’t make the list would have to come to their own conclusion as to why, and any kid who faviorite celebrity didn’t make the list would have to come to thier own conclusion as well. That way a messge is sent, but their is no form of potential bashing involved and the kids won’t think it’s OK to bash on other.

This is Miley Cyrus’ second year in a row winning this “award”. It has obviously been a big boost to her career and helped her to kill the Disney typecasting curse that has ruined the careers of so many former Disney stars. After all, she’s making more money than ever before and being cast in big movies. Like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera before her, Miley Cyrus has been forced to play against type in order to save her adult career and there’s practically nothing that will help her in that better than winning this “award” voted on by 11-year olds.
