Milla Jovovich Says Being A Parent Put Life In PerspectiveBritt Reints
Milla Jovovich is doing what every good mom should do; she’s putting her daughter first. And doing that, she says, has changed how she sees everything else in her life.
Milla told PARADE, “Before you have kids, you create so many problems that are centered in yourself. You’re thinking, Am I ready for this audition? Am I good enough? Now that I have a kid, it’s not such a big deal.”
Milla’s daughter Ever Gabo is 2, and the actress admits that just taking care of her daughter is a full time job. “Even if I don’t get the job, I know I’m going to be really busy at home. Being a mother to my daughter, Ever, is a full-time job. Now it’s all about my baby, her growing up well and getting everything she needs. Everything else is just a plus.”
And non-celebrity working moms everywhere say, “it must be nice to have that option!”
But seriously, it’s heartwarming to see a celebrity mom who takes motherhood even more seriously than she takes her career and fame. Motherhood does put things in perspective, and it’s nice to see Milla Jovovich recognizes that.
The actress says that it’s important for parents to really know their kids to prevent problems down the road. “You’ve got to know your kids like the back of your hand and make sure they’re honest with you and not scared to tell you things,” Milla says.
Here’s hoping that plan works as well for Milla when Garbo is 13 as it does when she’s just learning to talk!
