Supermodel Miranda Kerr is opening up about her childbirth experience, and unlike Victoria’s Secret bud Gisele Bundchen, she says that giving birth to her first child was no walk in the park.
Miranda, who has a son Flynn with Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom, says the pain was so intense she thought she would die.
In an interview with Australia’s InStyle magazine, the leggy model says: “I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body.”
“I kept thinking, ‘how do women do this?’ But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined.”
The 28-year-old Australian native gave birth to her son naturally, without any pain medication in what she describes as a long, arduous and difficult labor. She credits husband Orlando though, for being by her side then and being a hands-on father now.
“If I need to get on a plane for one day of work, I pump my milk and put it into the freezer for Orlando,” she shares. “It’s whoever has their hands free. When I’m not working we don’t have a nanny.”
A celebrity couple that does all the work by themselves? Now that’s one yummy mummy and daddy.
