Mom Vs Son: Brad Pitt's Mom Comes Out as Anti-Gay Marriage & Anti-Choice

Angelina Jolie With Brad's Mom Jane Pitt

Sometimes the apple falls far from the tree, very very far. Brad Pitt was raised in Springfield, Missouri in a conservative, Southern Baptist household. But he fled and made Hollywood his home and has since become a diehard liberal, becoming a big supporter of the democratic party, our President Barack Obama, and of gay marriage.

His mom Jane Pitt? She is Brad’s political opposite, and she isn’t afraid of who knows it. She wrote a letter to her hometown paper – The Springfield News-Leader urging her fellow Christians to vote for Mitt Romney ignoring the fact that he is Mormon.  She wrote… that Mitt Romney is “a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality.” She added:

“Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama—a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

She ended her op-ed letter saying, “I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.”

Brad Pitt has been a strong supporter of gay marriage tell People Magazine last year, “No state should decide who can marry and who cannot. Thanks to the tireless work of so many, someday soon this discrimination will end and every American will be able to enjoy their equal right to marriage.”

I wonder what family gatherings are like, perhaps they have a “no politics at the dinner table rule,” or perhaps there is a  great big heated debate.  One thing for sure, we know they conversations wouldn’t be boring!
