Mother Warriors: Celeb Moms Who Were In Labor For Days! (Photos)

Mother Warriors

I consider myself one of the lucky ones out there when it comes to my personal labor story. See, I come from a long lineage of Slavic women who built their strength plowing fields while cleaning their own homes (this was before housekeepers) for centuries before my generation of cousins popped out their babies in Long Island hospitals in a record 45 minutes. I guess since our ancestors went through all that hard labor and work for us, we get a free pass in the labor room. That, or we’re tough Polish cookies (take your guess!).

But when it comes to Hollywood of course, everyone has a story to tell. I’m sure by now you’ve heard of how many celebs out there have scheduled c-sections, but there are those few that are made out of real steel when it comes to giving birth to their babies. Celebrity moms Gwyneth Paltrow, Milla Jovovich and Evangeline Lily didn’t just endure labor for a few hours – they went through it for a few days. Talk about mother warriors!

Check out our slideshow of celebrity moms who have endured the longest labors and tell us, what was yours like? Did you go through a quick labor or did yours feel like it lasted for days? Let us know!

Gwyneth Paltrow

When Gwyneth Paltrow says she likes to do things the natural way, she really means it. The healthy-living actress was in labor for 70 hours when she gave birth to her daughter Apple in 2004. She later said of the ordeal: "It was worth every minute. I came out of it thinking, 'Well, I would have amputated my legs for her.' So that was nothing."
