Mothers Day 2011: Celebrity Parents Books for Mom?

Rob Lowe "Stories I Only Tell My Friends"

Rob Lowe is Just One of Several Celeb Parents Who Have Books Now

Seems like many celebrity parents are promoting books right now! Tina Fey’s Bossypants is a bestseller and the still hunky Rob Lowe is winning raves for his book, Stories I Only Tell My Friends. Living legend Steven Tyler’s book just went on sale, and this rocker dad is always interesting!

I’ve read a portion of Stories I Only Tell My Friends in the latest Vanity Fair-–it’s great!  Lowe has some very interesting stories, not all of them are about Hollywood. In an interview on ABC’s The View this week Lowe talked about his connection to 9/11 and his experience on one of the terrorists’ dry run practice flights. The celebrity dad and actor flew with the 911 hijackers on the dry run without realizing it while he was shooting The West Wing in Washington.

Rock icon Steven Tyler’s new book just went on sale! Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir is sure to be a hit because Tyler is bigger than ever, thanks to his American Idol gig!  The living legend spills it all about his life of sex, drugs and  rock n’ roll with Aerosmith.

Here are the links where you can read more on these celebrity parents and their books.  Any one of these books would be great for mom or grandma!

Steven Tyler – Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir

I have always been a Steven Tyler fan and it’s been fun to watch him gain new fans because of American Idol.  I loved his duet with Carrie Underwood at the ACM Awards recently.  I just couldn’t resist watching this clip again!
