Move over Jersey Shore! There’s a new reality TV show north of the border and it’s called Lake Shore.
Canada is cashing in on the Jersey Shore craze with a reality-TV show of its own. After the kids have gone to bed, this may be yet another guilty pleasure for parents to enjoy.
Lake Shore, named after Lakeshore Boulevard in Toronto, features a cast of eight young adults all living together, all with different ethnic backgrounds.
“We decided to go this route because obviously Canada is a multi-cultural country so there was plenty of nationalities to explore and choose from. Plus, we thought it would be interesting to see what would happen when these very different people got together,” says George Tsioutsioulas, producer of Lake Shore.
The cast includes Sibel Atlug, “The Turk,” Arber Daci, “The Albanian,” Karolina Czaja, “The Pole,” Salem Moussallam, “The Lebanese,” Robyn Perza, “The Jew,” Joey Violin, “The Italian,” Anni Mei, “The Vietnamese” and Tommy Hollywood, “The Czech.”
“These eight characters we’ve chosen are entertaining, outrageous, controversial, confrontational, sexy, impulsive and at times ridiculous so expect to see fireworks,” says Tsioutsioulas.
Some people will love it. Some people will hate it but one thing is guaranteed- it won’t be boring!”
