Earlier this week, Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts enjoyed a night out without the kids when they attended the New York Academy of Art 2011 Tribeca Ball. New York Magazine was there and talked to them about their day-to-day lives as a family.
The couple has been together since 2005, and have 2 sons together: 3-year- old Alexander “Sasha” Pete, born in Los Angeles and 2-year-old Samuel “Sammy” Kai, born in New York City. Watts also has said she would have a third child if she was guaranteed a girl!
One of the things they love to do as a family is ride their bikes. Whether they’re in Los Angeles or New York, they always make time to ride.
And just like any other kids, both of their kids like to draw…on the kitchen table.
It sounds like the kids may have caught the acting bug, too. When asked if the kids put on plays, the couple responded:
Schreiber: “In the swimming pool a lot.”
Watts: “And we had some outfits the other day, a king and a knight.”
Schreiber: “Oh, yeah. They had a terrible fight over it. They were dressed up, someone brought over a knight costume and a king costume, and apparently the older one got very upset when he figured out what the king costume was, because he was only wearing the knight costume, and he chased the other one around threatening to kill him, saying, ‘I want to be king! I’m king! I want to be king!’ Totally Shakespearean.”
They sound like a typical family to me!
