It was a close race to the finish, but Natalie Getz and Dave Good are the official winners of the first season of Bachelor Pad. There were some shocking twists on the Bachelor Pad finale last night, and the question of who the winner would be had us guessing right up until the end!
Dave and Natalie definitely seemed to be falling for each other over the course of the show, and Natalie even mentioned that her main goal in life was to be a good wife and mom. Could Dave be the guy she settles down with?
Here’s a quick re-cap of how it all went down:
The show kicked off with the remaining three couples competing in a ballroom dancing competition after being coached by some of the professionals on Dancing With The Stars. Tenley and Kiptyn won by one point, which secured them a spot in the final two. They then had to choose between Natalie and Dave and Kovacs and Elizabeth as to who they wanted to take to the final two with them.
After some deliberation about whether to go with loyalty or strategy, Tenley and Kiptyn stuck with friendship, and saved Natalie and Dave.
The final four then left the mansion in limos and the show then went to a live studio audience, complete with the entire cast of Bachelor Pad. All of the past contestants then got the chance to vote on whether Natalie and Dave or Kiptyn and Tenley should advance to the next round and have the chance at winning $250,000. Natalie and Dave got the majority of the vote…and then there was a shocking twist.
Instead of one final competition or vote to see who would win the money between them, Natalie and Dave were brought to separate deliberation rooms and had to choose whether to share the $250,000 prize with each other, or to keep it all for themselves. The catch was, if they both picked share, then they would split the cash. If one picked keep and the other picked share, then the one who picked keep would get it all. If both picked keep, however, then neither of them would win anything and the money would be divided up equally between the other Bachelor Pad cast members.
Dave revealed his answer first, and chose to share the money with Natalie. When it was her turn, she had us believing for a second that she had chosen to keep all the cash for herself, but in the end she chose to share it as well and both of them wound up with $125,000.
Now that they are the winners…will they continue their relationship and win in love too?
Earlier in the show, Dave said he was falling in love with Natalie and thought that everything would change if they lived in the same city together. Natalie said that if they won the money, it would allow them the chance to move to the same town and start their lives together.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see if one of them does relocate, but if they do, marriage and kids can’t be far behind. We’re definitely rooting for them!
