Everywhere you look these days, there is another celebrity sporting a baby bump or carrying an adorable child around with them. But, becoming a part of the celeb baby boom wasn’t quite so easy for some celeb moms.
As part of National Infertility Awareness Week (April 24-30), we’ll take a look at some celeb moms who struggled with infertility.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have twins due any day now, but they had a hard time conceiving and had suffered a miscarriage early in their marriage.
Because of fertility issues, Sarah Jessica Parker had her second and third babies via a surrogate.
It took Celine Dion six years to be able to have her first baby and then numerous rounds of I.V.F. and a miscarriage before she had her twins.
Courtney Cox had several miscarriage before having her daughter using I.V.F. Marcia Cross and Brooke Shields had similar situations.
It took Angela Basset seven years of trying for a baby before she had twins via surrogate.
Sherri Shephard went through many rounds of I.V.F. before getting pregnant with twins, though she miscarried her girl and gave birth to a son.
