Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon, the most controversial and disliked cast members on Season 3 of the Real Housewives of New York City, are bonding lately, and sending each other bizarre cute little notes about their friendship via Twitter. Along with posting this photo, Kelly wrote: “I loved lunch at World pie. I admire our friendship so much.” Right. These two seemingly might not have much in common: Their children are not the same age; Jill is married while Kelly is single; Jill can complete a thought and Kelly can’t. But they have something FAR more important: a similar mission and common enemy.
Having both been rejected in one form or another by their fellow cast mates in St. John, and both having battled public feuds with Bethenny Frankel, Jill and Kelly are united under one team to be cast in Season 4. Seriously, I would guess 90 percent of their conversation revolves around Bethenny, RHONY and their perceived snubs. (And I use the word “conversation” loosely — remember, Kelly is part of the equation.)
And can I admit something here? I WANT these two to be part of Season 4. Why not? First of all, I don’t dislike Jill unlike the rest of the RHONY-watching planet. And second, what’s RHONY If not full of drama with a hint of mental illness?
So what do you think? Are these two really friends or is it just for publicity and self-promotion?
