New Reports Suggest Bethenny Frankel Isn't As Rich As You Think: Bethenny Reacts Via Twitter

bethenny frankel, bethenny, bethenny ever after

Bethenny Frankel may have sold Skinnygirl for just $8 million.

It wasn’t too long ago that Bethenny Frankel covered Forbes magazine in a showcase of her Skinnygirl brand selling for a reported $100 million! Now, new reports are suggesting that the price was overly exaggerated and ended up selling for a measly $8 million. (Definitely not measly in my book.)

Whenever Bethenny was questioned about the sale of her Skinnygirl brand and its worth, she just smiled and said, “I can’t say.” Beam Inc., which bought her company, had to say in an SEC filing. According to the report, they only paid $8 million for her business.

Say what?!

Before we get our panties in a bunch and accuse Bravo’s reality queen of lying, we took a look at Frankel’s twitter and lo and behold, she responded.

She tweeted, “Precisely. Irresponsible journalism. RT @foreignjuls: The reporter@HuffingtonPost doesn’t get accounting or know how to read financials.”

Apparently, being scrutinized and accused of falsities comes with the territory of being famous. Just ask Beyonce.

Frankel added, “The price of success. The serious issue is supposedly credible outlets hiring freelance writers with false info to get attention.@WikiPika.”

It seems her family won’t be affected no matter what the outcome of the sale was. Despite her multi-million dollar sale, Bethenny still shops modestly for her family. Just take a look at this diaper bag she purchased for herself.

Who do you believe?
