Hope Blue Ivy is a football fan!
The official announcement won’t be made till tomorrow, but an unidentified source tells the Associated Press that Beyonce has been tapped to perform the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.
The game will take place on February 3, 2013. It marks the first time the championship has been held at the Superdome since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
If the rumor is true, it would also be the second time the pop diva has performed at the Super Bowl. Her first appearance was in 2004, in her hometown of Houston – long before she became a wife and mom.
It’s common these days for more than one performer to take the stage during the show. So if the “Single Ladies” singer does headline the Pepsi NFL Halftime Show, it’s speculated that she might be joined by husband Jay-Z and the two other members of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
It’s hard to believe, but by the time the championship comes around, little Blue will be more than a year old! Wasn’t it just yesterday that we were all on Beyonce Bump Watch?!
What do you think? Are you psyched to see the Bey at the Bowl?
