Uh-oh. It looks like someone might be having a little financial trouble!
According to Radar Online, Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa and Joe Gorga are having a bit of a cash flow problem and are selling their multi-million dollar New Jersey estate because they simply can’t afford to keep up with their payments.
A source tells the web site that the couple only moved into the home so they could get on the hit Bravo show but are now in such a deep financial mess that they can no longer afford to stay there. The source says:
“Melissa and Joe are in way over their heads. Joe owes a lot of people money. They have the house on the market because they can’t pay the mortgage now that the interest rate on it has exploded.”
The source adds:
“Joe built the house as a spec home, hoping to find a buyer. As a builder, he got an interest free loan for a period of time in which he was to sell the house.”
“When his wife was hired for RHONJ, the Gorgas decided to abandon their home and move in to give themselves an appearance of wealth that they don’t really have.”
I know I’ve already said this before, but I’ll say it again: Bravo really needs to do away with these shows because not only is it doing no good for their stars and their families, but it’s also destroying their lives. I’m sure fame can be addicting, but who would want to go through this type of embarrassment? Plus, moving with children is never any fun.
What do you think about this whole ordeal? Have Melissa and Joe gone over their heads with their supposed Housewives lifestyle?
