Olympian Jennie Finch Talks About Her Second Pregnancy

30-year-old Olympian Jennie Finch and her husband are expecting their second child in late June.

Finch is married to Major League Baseball pitcher Casey Daigle, and the couple have a 4½-year-old son named Ace. The family just recently moved to Arizona, and Finch retired from professional softball in July 2010 to focus on raising her family. The couple announced her second pregnancy in January 2011.

Finch told People: “Casey and I are beyond excited to be expecting our second child,” Finch, 30, says. “We love being parents to Ace and feel extremely blessed to grow our family. Ace can’t wait to be a big brother!”

Finch recently found out that they are expecting another son, and said: “We were super excited. I could have definitely gone either way. You just hope and pray for a healthy baby. Our 4-year old was definitely all about wanting a boy and baby brother so when it was confirmed on the ultrasound, he said, “See I told you mom.” He was pretty pumped. I love all the boy energy so I’m excited and Ace is at an age where he wants to be this great little helper. He’s so excited to be part of taking care of his little brother. He was such an easy baby so I hope we will have the same smooth path with boy #2, but we’ll see what happens.”

Congrats to the happy family!
