Apparently burglarizing a celebrity’s home, spending some time in jail and having a reality show about being, well, wild is reason to write a book. Alexis Neiers, star of the show Pretty Wild–and the infamous burglar of actor Orlando Bloom’s home, is doing just that.
Neiers is getting help from ghostwriter Sheryl Berk, who also helped Britney Spears and Jamie-Lynn Sigler pen books. And, according to Popeater, a description of the book says: “Think ‘Gossip Girl’ goes to Hollywood–it is a cautionary tale as well as a guilty pleasure; the reader is plunged into the crazy, out-of-control world of one of Hollywood’s most infamous party girls.”
Neiers, who spent 30 days in jail for felony burglary (her actual sentence was 180 days), said she “did a lot of soul searching” while she was behind bars. “I feel very humbled and see my life in a way that I have come to be very grateful for and I am also grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me through this,” she said in a statement.
Even so, would you let your daughters read Neiers’ book? Is it actually going to be a cautionary tale, or more of a glamorization of being a Hollywood party girl and celebrity burglar?
