Oscar-Nominated Abigail Breslin Earns $13 A Week Allowance

Abigail Breslin, the Oscar-nominated actress, who makes almost $2 million per movie, earns just $13 a week allowance from her parents, for doing household chores.

The Little Miss Sunshine star, just earned a one dollar raise per week for allowance.

She said, “I get $13 [a week] now, because I’m 13.

Abigail has been in show biz since she was just 5, and ranked eighth in Forbes magazine’s list of “Young Hollywood’s Top-Earning Stars,” in 2007 after making $1.5 million the year before.  But despite her great movie earnings, her parents obviously want her to learn responsibility and earn her keep at home, which I think is great!  Too many times we have seen child-stars take the wrong path and perhaps (not always of course) their home life, no sense of direction and lavish lifestyle contributed to their downfall.

The young teen added, “My chores have gotten a little heavier.  My brother used to always have to feed the cat and now I feed the cat, which isn’t a big deal, but it kind of is, because my cat eats tons.  It’s like an all-day long cycle.”

Ha, she’s cute!

Abigail is currently starring in My Sister’s Keeper, which I so want to see – but I know I’m going to be bawling my eyes out.
