Padma Lakshmi Looking Forward to Krishna Wearing Her Jewelry

By Sunny Chanel |

Padma Lakshmi is back to work. The new mom, who welcomed her daughter Krishna just a month ago, was spotted at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City to promote her jewelry line Padma. Yup, when she’s not cooking, hosting Top Chef and modeling, she designs jewelry.  And there is one particular person she would love to see wearing her stuff…her daughter.  She told PEOPLE, “I would love to pass down my designs. It’s all pretty delicate jewelry, so it would look good on someone who’s 15 years old or 55 years old.”

The new collection is, “very botanically inspired.” She added that,  “There are leaves in it and all of the stones — lemon topaz and pink sapphires — are very earthy spring colors. It’s all very light.” And she injected some of her culinary passion into the pieces saying that,  “I love to use a lot of spices when I cook, so we actually cast a real peppercorn in gold and then just made a bead out of it for necklaces and earrings.”

Check out some of the pieces from her collection below. Krishna is one lucky girl!
