You wouldn’t think that Pink would be afraid of much in this world. And you certainly wouldn’t imagine her being scared of anything to do with babies. Ever since little Willow Sage came into her life just over a year ago, the singer and her husband, Carey Hart, have been seen carrying her, kissing her and simply being adoring.
But, she recently confessed to a British tab (as reported in the Belfast Telegraph), she wept when her baby was born out of sheer fear. “I’m terrified of having a girl like me,” Pink explains, referring to her own teen years when she wrote dark song lyrics and experimented with styles and music.
But she’s holding out hope that Willow will go in a more mainstream direction when she’s older. “I’m just banking on the fact that we rebel from our parents,” she says. “She’ll be like, ‘Loud music? Tattoos? That’s disgusting.’ But I don’t know. It’s all karma, I guess, for all the bad things I’ve done.”
But for now, Pink (who’s one of the newest models for CoverGirl) is enjoying her little girl enter toddlerhood – even though she confesses to a bit of mom-daughter rivalry!“Yeah, everybody is like, ‘Oh, Willow, she’s so cute,'” she tells the tab. “So nobody tells me how cute I am anymore! I can’t help being the jealous type.”
But that envy fades quickly as she immerses herself in the business of motherhood. Her new challenge: curbing Willow’s toddler temper.
“Willow thinks she’s really good at sharing, but if the other kid doesn’t take the toy, she’ll bash them in the head with it!”
Ain’t motherhood grand?
