Sure, it would no doubt be awesome to have Brad Pitt and Angelina as parents … not just because they’re cool, but because you get to party in Venice, shop in Paris, and go to the Super Bowl. Then again, what you don’t get is the stability of a permanent home, a steady group of friends (outside your 5 siblings), or a chance to go to school.
Of course, you could take the position that because of who the parents are, there’s really no alternative but to keep the family in a continuous state of jet setting, with a herd of tutors and nannies and paparazzi in tow. However, Matt Damon’s kids don’t even know what he does for a living, and Johnny Depp spends 3-month stretches at his hamlet in France without even leaving the property — so it can be done at some level.
Is it the Jolie-Pitt family’s best interest to keep globetrotting or to settle into a more “normal” (as normal as can be expected) lifestyle?
What’s your take? Do Brad and Angie do enough to protect their kids privacy? Is their rootlessness a good thing or bad?
