Kate Middleton in Hospital with Severe Morning Sickness

On Monday, it was announced that Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their first child. But while royal watchers, the royal family, and William are all smiles about the big baby news, Kate isn’t grinning, she is too busy puking!

Kate has been struck with a severe case of morning sickness called Hyperemesis Gravidarum which was so bad that…

she had to go to the hospital. On Monday, after news broke that she was with child, Kate was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in Central London due to her morning sickness. In a statement from the Buckingham Palace, the monarchy explains that Hyperemesis Gravidarum is a “very acute morning sickness, which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients.” The palace also adds, “as the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.”

Have you heard of anyone having morning sickness so bad that they have to be admitted to the hospital?
