Pregnant Molly Sims Talks Cravings, Names and Breastfeeding!Shana Aborn
Molly Sims, who’s in the final weeks of her pregnancy, has been hearing a lot of advice from other moms – including wise words on breastfeeding (that ever-controversial subject that’s back in the news again, thanks to the Time magazine story).
“Breastfeed if you can, don’t feel guilty if you don’t,” is the suggestion she’s been given (which sounds like a good plan to us).
Molly talks about this and other baby-related topics in this week’s issue of Parade magazine. Here’s what she has to say about her pregnancy, nursery and the little one she and husband Scott Stuber are expecting next month!
She’s surprised by her uncharacteristic craving for sweets – and not just good-for-you fruits like mango and apples. “Birthday cake: I love,” she confesses. “I never liked birthday cake in my life!”
As her due date draws closer, Molly has been troubled with back and foot discomfort. Her solution: a new Sleep Number bed! “I had been having back troubles and it’s unbelievable!” she says. “I can put my feet up and my husband and I can be on different settings.”
The couple is expecting a boy, but they’ve decorated the nursery with the future in mind. “We’re going for something more gender-neutral,” she says. “In case I have a girl next, we have some pink in there and some powder blue.”
What will their son’s name be? They’re not sure yet – but they’ve got it down to a list of eight finalists. “[Scott] has four criteria: can a sportscaster pronounce it properly, how can it be shortened and still sound cool, does it mean anything, and is he going to be made fun of in fifth grade,” Molly explains. “He loves Daschel and goes, ‘Dash! Number 41 for the Green Bay Packers!’ ”
And even though she’s not officially a mother yet, Molly has definite plans for Mother’s Day this year. “I’m making my husband take me on a babymoon!” she declares.
Sounds like she’s got this motherhood thing all figured out!
